Neo Tiew Village Revisit!

Was greeted by the sight of these satanic graffiti when we started exploring(re-exploring for me) around. Why would people pray to the devil? What the fuck? ok religion sensitive topic shall stop here.

This used to be the market place for those residents living here. Once lively, now deserted. In the picture shown are the roof ventilations. Saw a couple of dead birds hanging by the legs thou. RIP them.

Saw this butterfly dancing around the flowers, this was considered quite a lucky shot as I just point and fire off the shutter. Never really go frame it nicely. It flew away shortly after this, attempted to go after but I'll be alone after that. I better not take risks at some ulu place right? :P

I used my Dad's *DAMN* old 35-70mm F3.3 lens AND I FREAKING LOVE THE BOKEH!! Minimum focus distance is quite short thou, as in near to the subject. This picture is taken by the help of the sunlight (sunset) coming towards the flowers from the top left.

Been here before. Took a similar shot, same HDR but different results.

This is for easier reference. I have improved (and still improving!) these 2 years plus eh? :') Omg I'm so proud of myself. Gonna experiment more and shoot more! 'cause thats (not only) the way to learn! :)

MBS + Punggol Promenade

Damn satisfied with my HDR shots today! Especially this photo of MBS which is directly below! It was drizzling when we reached there, but that didn't stop us from taking photos. Luckily the sky wasn't too overly cloudy, if not I won't be able to draw out any details from it. I included a puddle of water as I find the reflection (of MBS) would make makes this shot looks more interesting.

We went to Punggol Promenade towards the later part of the day. This is actually a park under development but I would say it would be hell of nice place to take a walk in the evening when everything is ready! I saw this bridge on the net but couldn't find where is it until I did some research on the orienteering. And so here it is, HDR of the bridge with sunset!

Stitched around 10 photos together using CS4 for both of these. I should create an album on FB on Panorama too right? Just like the HDR ones.hmmmmmmmm

This pano is a bit slanted. I need to remember to watch out for the tiniest details next time before the fire off the shutter.

Due to the uber boredom at home, I decided to do some photography. Took discarded flowers meant for offerings to the gods for a lil photo shoot. Just experimenting and playing around with what I've got. Oh god, I can't wait for tomorrow to come for I'm going out for photo shoot! I'm so determined to take some HDR :D So stay tuned! (if there are still people around viewing this space. :))

THE SKY SUCKED! K let's not blame the sky, its quite a challenge shooting under a cloudy sky. On top of that, the high temperature makes shooting even worse. Am I contradicting myself? Yes I do, no I don't.

This is a slightly >180 degrees pano. 360 one coming soon!! :)

GoDox Ring48 Led Flash

Just included this led ring flash into my inventory list! :) This flash produces continuos lighting for portraiture and macro photography. This is specially useful for people using extension tubes as an alternative for macro. Reason being, by adding extension tubes to the camera, it lengthens the focal length so that a shorter focusing distance can be achieved. (By shortening the focusing, the lens can get nearer to the subject and thus achieving the macro effect). Having a long focal length would mean the lesser light reaching the sensor, in turn, harder to focus. By mounting this flash to the front part of the lens, not only it brightens up the subject, it also ensures enough light hitting the sensor as a result, making it easier to focus. USEFUL!

Its Singapore Birthday yo! NATIONAL DAY!! Paid $20 to go up the Marina Bay Sands Sky Garden. To get closer to the F15s. THE EXPERIENCE WAS TOTALLY AWESOMEZXZX!!!! Those thundering roars as they flew above us, OMFG WOOOOHOOOO!!! The $20 was definitely worth it!

Sunset at The Pinnacle @ Duxton. You will need to pay $5 at block E to go up. Its certainly worth it for me as the view up there is mind blowing. Not forgetting the fact that you may get nice pictures! :)

WOOHOOOO!! Its been quite some time since I updated this space. Got back my extension tube today, so I decided to shoot some plants. And these are what I've got. Oh yah, gonna include SB600 into my equipment list. Of course there are diffusers too :)

The above plant is what they call the 'bird flower plant'. Notice the (going to be)flower in a shape of a bird.

My dad was clearing his cupboard and found an old school tripod and an external flash. Tried and tested this flash but nothing seems to be working, except that there was this ringing sound and the light of the ready/test button was on. Tried to press it, but there was no flash :/

The sky is a very good subject to do HDR, especially with clouds. It will show a lot of details in the sky. After some HDR processing, it will appear to be dramatic, making it more 'lively'.

Tested out my new 50mm f 1.8 lens. I really like the output, the sharpness and the bokeh. Really nice! Shall upgrade to F1.4 not so soon! haha
